An essay is, in general, a sort of written piece that gives the writer’s point of view, but the precise definition is somewhat vague, encompassing people of an article, a newspaper, a book, an impression, and a brief narrative. Essays have consistently been regarded as formal and academic. In earlier times this was authentic, but as time has gone by it has been possible to write an essay with marginal notes and then translate them in many distinct ways. The essay can be an ingenious work of prose or it can be a dry factual list of facts and studies. An individual could classify an article as historic, political, aesthetic, moral, critical, or even commercial in its different guises. It’s true that some experiments are extremely difficult to classify.
The two main types of essays are both descriptive and narrative. The storyline type of composition includes one or more narrations, either private or from the writer’s point of view. These may be short stories, novels, biographies, or even re-telling of certain events. Narrative essays are extremely popular nowadays, due to the development in technology.
The second main kind of essay, commonly called descriptive essay, is much less common these days. In a descriptive essay the focus isn’t on characters, situations, or placing, but on descriptions of objects, ideas, or concepts. As its name suggests, such essays normally deal with descriptions or put different things into words. Thus one can find a vast variety of these descriptive essays in most categories and areas of study.
A descriptive article differs from a story essay in the use of language. In a narrative essay the terminology is such that the author uses it to tell a story, elaborate a thought, or illustrate an argument. Thus a writer can’t begin a descriptive article using a simple description of an object. Instead, the attention of this essay is to describe or exemplify the object in such ways as to create the author’s point. In a short piece of literature, on the other hand, the focus is not so much on the object as it is on the more general topic of the narrative told in the item.
One interesting form of a descriptive essay has come to be known as the argument essay. An argument essay functions very similar to a story essay in that it starts with an introduction and then uses arguments to support one’s point of view. But unlike a narrative article, a discussion essay does not have a protagonist and a villain. Instead the focus is on the general theme of the item. As such, this kind of essay can cover many different topics ranging from religion to science and politics to sports.
There are two fateta.ipb.ac.id major kinds of argument essays – critical and analytical. Analytical essays are written to present research findings while critical ones are more concerning opinion based on research and facts. In order to write an analytical essay, the student has to be able to analyze data, look at arguments rationally and reach a decision about a subject. On the other hand, in order to write a vital essay the student must have the ability to learn whether the thesis is faked or if there is enough evidence to warrant a position.
